The brief…

When accountancy firm Saffery Champness decided to take time out of the normal 9-5 for a summer team building event, they called on Clownfish to design a day that helped employees reconnect and have fun together.

Their chosen venue offered the perfect green space – but no power or water supply. Power is easy to fix with one of our powerful, silent generators, but our showcase team building activity (It’s a Knockout Around the World) requires plenty of water and foam.

Not so easily defeated by practical considerations, we combined some of our flagship, custom-built inflatables with Gameopoly to create a unique, dry take on team building especially for the occasion.  

Event design…

The main event saw twelve teams competing against each other in a number of different outdoor challenges. The Great British Summer was not kind to us weather-wise, so our compere also became ‘person in charge of rallying spirits’ as we carried on regardless.

For those that didn’t fancy braving the rain, we set up a marquee full of nostalgic fairground side stalls and games, along with candy floss and a photo booth. This also provided a focal point away for colleagues to mingle and relax together.
