A fabulous family affair.
The brief
With their 50th birthdays approaching, a husband and wife team asked Clownfish to help them plan a fitting celebration.
Their three children were keen to be involved, so we worked with the whole family to design a party that was fun, memorable and a little bit different.
Event design
The couple’s own home provided the perfect setting. They decided on a stunning, starlit marquee in the garden, a relaxed barbecue and a bar on the patio.
We added a starlit dancefloor with a specialist lighting rig, ambient lighting around the marquee and special effects lighting to highlight the beautifully landscaped garden.
Everyone likes to make an entrance, so we ran red carpet through the house and out into the garden, where a photographer waited to capture shots of each guest. The images were printed instantly and overlaid with bespoke party branding, then broadcast onto the big screen in the marquee.
Added extras
Given dad’s passion for cars and motor racing, our giant 8-lane Scalextric track was a must-have. We even managed to convince the Stig to come along and mingle with the guests…
To get everyone up and dancing, we supplied a DJ who was well briefed about the family’s favourite tunes. We provided a stage and a full PA system, including microphones for the speeches, and created a slideshow of family snaps to display on the big screen.
