The Mash Machine is like a juke box for the digital age – but rather than popping a coin in the slot and choosing a song, you make your own music.

Each of up to four players controls a set of coloured blocks: Red for drums, blue for basslines, green for melodies and yellow for vocals. Each block plays a different sample as you place it onto the board.

As you add and remove your blocks, you’ll start to create an original track. Slide the blocks around the board to add phase, flanger and echo effects as your unique composition plays to the crowd.

Choose a genre to suit your event or reflect your own personal taste. Choices include: Glitch, Electronic/Dance, House/Techno, World/Alternative, Funky/Groovy, Rap, Celebration/Special Events (including Christmas), Chill/Relaxing, Pop, Rock and Experimental/Other.

FAQs

How many people can play?

You can have any amount of players, but we would recommend 1-4, just so it doesn’t get too crowded.

I already have a DJ – will this clash?

If you already have a DJ planned for your event, don’t worry at all. We can supply the Mash Machine with 4 x wired headphones so that you can still play without the music clashing.

What on EARTH does this do?!

Great question! There are four different types of cubes – drums, bass, melodies and vocals. Each cube has a unique QR code underneath it that is read by a computer beneath the pillar when it is placed in the middle. As you place the different cubes on, they play outloud and your own track is born. Swap the cubes out and keep creating different tunes until your heart’s content!

What kind of event is this great for?

If you want something that is a little bit different, very creative, engaging and like nothing else out there, the Mash Machine is for you! It’s also super brandable.

I don’t like the default soundbanks – what do I do?

Have no fear! We can create a custom soundbank with you prior to your event to suit your genre – just ask us about it and we will be more than happy to help.
