The brief
Harper Collins gave the Clownfish team free reign to design, install and manage all aspects of event production for BOSH! FEST. A brief like that is always a joy – but this ended up being one of our favourite projects of all time.
The event mantra of ‘Great food. Amazing music. All plants.’ was refreshingly simple – yet with a short timeframe, challenging venue and 1000 plant-based food fans confirmed to attend, this was by no means an easy ride, even for our seasoned events professionals.
On site
We had two separate spaces to set up in three short hours. The main Market Hall was the centre of the cooking action, where BOSH! founders Ian and Henry took to the stage for live cooking demos and interviews with other plant-based heroes like chef Anna Jones.
In the nextdoor Green Market, food trucks served vegan delights to hungry guests whilst LED screens showcased menus and recipes from the BOSH! cookbook and a DJ kept the queues entertained.
Event design
London’s historic Borough Market is a dream setting for a food brand. We enhanced it with coloured lighting and used projection and lighting stencils to showcase the BOSH! logo on every available surface.
Staging, sound and video recording took the top spots on the tech team’s priority list.
When you’re watching a stage in a crowd of 1000, it’s difficult to see what’s going on at the front – so we brought along two cameramen and delivered a live feed to a big screen so that nobody missed out on a slice of the action.
An audio feed kept everyone in the food truck area up to speed, and we supplied recorded footage to the team at BOSH! and Harper Collins so that they could use it on their websites and social media feeds.
